" Some of the largest earthquakes have been in our backyard (California). You may recall seeing the news during the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake in northern California, which measured 7.1 on the Richter scale. The destructive quake caused $6 billion in property damage. Whether it is earthquake, hurricanes, tornado or high-wind storms, there are ways that you can help protect your home from the forces of Mother Nature." This was the kind of conversation our students had at the camp.
Simpson Strong-Tie Representatives, Darwin Waite and Jason Brown, attended our summer camp as Guest Speakers. They made visual presentations and brought structural reinforcing material for our kids to touch and see. They engaged our students in a very adult-like conversation, information that were lined up with our Design/Build Management Camp for children in 2nd thru 5th grade students.
Simpson Strong-Tie is considered a leader in structural systems research, testing and innovation, and one of the largest suppliers of structural building products in the world.
